Below we discover how to dismantle and replace the timing belt of the Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 HDI. First of all, we open the hood of the car and start dismantling and removing the tank found at the top left; then we lift the car and disconnect the V-belt, unscrewing the bolt of the crankshaft pulley to remove it, as shown in the video. At this point, we remove the timing cover to take the necessary references for the replacement of the timing belt; we reassemble the original belt and check the condition of the entire distribution system, including the water pump.
