Replacing the timing belt on a Citroen Xsara Picasso is a fairly simple and quick operation to perform independently. To carry out the replacement, we must open the front hood and immediately lift the vehicle on a jack to facilitate the replacement, as the timing belt, pulley, and belt are located right next to the right front wheel. However, it is not necessary to remove the wheel as it is possible to perform this operation from below. We loosen the belt tensioner pulley and remove the timing belt, take the new belt and insert it into the pulley, tighten the belt tensioner pulley, lower the vehicle back down, and start the engine to circulate the oil on the belt again.
