This guide shows how to replace the battery of the Citroen Xsara Picasso Mk1. The battery of this vehicle is located under the driver's seat. The first step is to locate the two release levers for the seat by sitting in the rear seats; these elements are situated at the end of the seat slides. Once the locks are released, tilt the seat towards the front of the vehicle to access the battery. Using a 13 mm spanner, unscrew the fastening bolts of the battery terminal connectors, and depending on the year of manufacture, either unscrew the battery mounting bracket or lift it out of its housing. Replace it with a battery of the same specifications as defined in the vehicle's user and maintenance manual. Reassemble everything in position and check the correct functioning of the system.
