Replacement of Cabin Ventilation Fan Motor

Model: Citroen Xsara Picasso MK 1 - Years 1999-2012

The motor for the cabin ventilation fan is located behind the centre tunnel, and to extract it from its housing, you need to access it from the driver's side, creating the right amount of working space. Start by disconnecting the universal joint of the steering column from the pinion of the steering box, taking care not to let the steering wheel rotate freely once disconnected (this could damage the airbag spiral). Then, remove the section of the dashboard directly under the steering wheel and dismantle the connector located on the right side. At this point, disconnect the two plugs from the motor and rotate it anti-clockwise to release and extract it. Proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.
