How to Change the Cabin Filter on a Citroen Xara Picasso

Model: Citroen Xsara MK 1 - Years 1997-2006

In the Citroen Xara, the pollen filter is located in the engine bay. Open the bonnet and you will see it at the top left of the engine compartment (looking at the vehicle from the front, in front of the passenger), just below the windscreen. Remove the three large plastic wing nuts that secure the pollen filter cover flange. Now, it is easy to take off the cover. Just behind it, you will find the filter, which you can remove. Clean the area where the old filter was located, removing dust and debris. If you choose to install a white filter, it will only block dust, while black activated carbon filters will block gases as well. In any case, when installing the new filter, ensure the arrows always point downwards. Refit the cover with its wing nuts and close the bonnet. The operation is complete.
