Valve Guide Cup Replacement

Model: Citroen Xsara MK 1 - Years 1997-2006

When overhauling an engine, it is advisable to replace all those components generally subject to wear, such as the valve guide cups and possibly the corresponding camshafts; once the installation of the cylinder head is complete, lubricate the seats of the cups and insert the new ones, then position the camshafts after thoroughly lubricating the rolling seats; apply gasket sealant before installing the bracket that secures the camshafts; then insert the side oil seals with the lip facing inwards, install the timing pulleys, align the timing marks, and also fit the belt.
