Citroen Xsara - Video tutorial

Model: Citroen Xsara MK 1 - Years 1997-2006
Part: Engine
Operation: Valve guide rubbers replacement

The replacement of the valve guide rubbers is a fairly simple operation to perform but you need the right tools: in fact, a suitably shaped arch clamp is needed to be able to crush the valve return spring and then release the fixing half-shells in order to extract the valve; at this point, remove the old rubber with the special extractor and insert the new one properly lubricated; finally insert the valve (make sure there is no encrustation on the valve seat and on the valve itself), squeeze the return spring with the arc clamp and insert the plate and the half-shells for the stem.

How to reset the oil service in the Fiat Toro?

In this tutorial we can see how to reset the oil service in the Fiat Toro. Before carrying out this simple and quick operation, make sure that you have completed any required maintenance work. We start by inserting the key but leaving it in the initial position, after which we keep the accelerator pedal fully depressed and at the same time turn on the instrument panel. At this point, always keeping the accelerator pressed, press the brake pedal 5 consecutive times and, with the pedals in position, turn off the ignition. We check that the procedure has been successful by starting the vehicle.
