Replacement of Valve Guide Seals

Replacing the valve guide seals is a relatively simple task, but you need the right tools: a suitably shaped arch clamp is required to compress the valve return spring and then release the retaining half-shells to extract the valve; at this point, remove the old seal with the appropriate extractor and insert the new one, properly lubricated; finally, insert the valve (ensure there are no deposits on the valve seat and the valve itself), compress the return spring with the arch clamp, and insert the retainer and half-shells for the stem.
