If you experience gear engagement issues in the automatic gearbox after many miles, you need to wash and replace the oil in the gearbox. Lift the vehicle on a ramp.

After removing the protective cover, unscrew the oil plug located on the gearbox sump and let a small quantity drain into a suitable container to introduce the flushing additive. Add the flushing additive and use the appropriate equipment to carry out a thorough complete wash, then let it drain.

Refill the gearbox with the correct quantity of the specified oil. Check the engine oil level and perform a road test to see if the automatic gearbox issues have been resolved.
