Gearbox Oil Change and Complete Maintenance

If you experience gear engagement issues in the automatic gearbox after many miles, you need to wash and replace the oil in the gearbox. Lift the vehicle on a ramp. After removing the protective cover, unscrew the oil plug located on the gearbox sump and let a small quantity drain into a suitable container to introduce the flushing additive. Add the flushing additive and use the appropriate equipment to carry out a thorough complete wash, then let it drain. Refill the gearbox with the correct quantity of the specified oil. Check the engine oil level and perform a road test to see if the automatic gearbox issues have been resolved.
