If the cabin fan only activates at maximum speed despite adjusting the speed, the resistor (i.e., the controller) that regulates the fan motor's rotation speed is likely damaged. This is a common fault in many models from the French manufacturer, but it can be resolved quickly and quite economically (replacement cost is around £34). To replace the resistor located just behind the centre console, with a green connector attached to the fan motor, you do not need to disassemble any dashboard elements; simply access it from the passenger side, unscrew the fixing screws, and disconnect the connectors.
