Level control on Dacia Duster MK1

In this video, we will briefly see how to keep the fluid levels under control on a Dacia Duster MK1: these are all checks to be done with the engine cold. We open the hood and start by checking the oil level dipstick: the correct level is close to "max", without ever exceeding it. We take some absorbent paper, remove the dipstick from its housing, clean it, and then put it back in place, remove it again and check the oil level. If it is too low, we add a small amount of oil and recheck the quantity until reaching the required level. Now we check the coolant liquid: we open the tank, and here too the level should be close to the maximum level, without ever exceeding it. We add, if necessary, more liquid always of the same color as the one present in the tank. We check the brake fluid, which theoretically should not be consumed: if the level is low, it means that the pads or discs are wearing out. We top up with a little liquid and then remember to have these components checked. Now we top up the windshield washer fluid: it is important never to add just water, which could be hard, thus dirtying the front glass and worsening visibility.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open. Pull this lever towards you until you hear a "click" indicating the bonnet is released. Next, exit the cabin and stand in front of the bonnet to disengage the safety catch and complete the opening.
