In this video, we see how to transform the normal key of a Dacia Sandero Stepway into a flip key, that is, one that snaps: first of all, we need the new shell to be able to make this transformation, and we can find it on Amazon with the code B07WDYX8NV at a price of 9.90 euros, with free delivery for Prime customers.

We start by opening the body of the new key, remove the central screw from the old one to remove its body; we remove the key and the battery, put the contacts of the new key back in place, then we have to remove the blank key from its support to insert ours; it is not a very simple procedure and a heat gun is needed to heat the plastic casing, remove the blank key, and insert our key while the plastic is still hot. Now we insert the key into the compatible shell.

The key is just slightly longer than the slot, so we will have to widen it a bit, using a soldering iron to heat it as much as necessary. We also add holes to the cover and then we can close everything.
