How to Replace the Starter Motor on a Dacia Duster

To replace the starter motor on a Dacia Duster, first disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to secure the electrical system. Next, access the starter motor, generally installed on the gearbox bell housing, at the junction between the engine and transmission. After locating the electrical connections, disconnect the main power cable and the starter control connector. Then, unscrew the bolts securing the starter motor to the gearbox and remove it from its position, taking care with the weight of the component. At this point, position the new starter motor, tighten the securing bolts, and correctly reconnect the electrical cables. Finally, reconnect the negative terminal of the battery and start the engine to verify the correct operation of the new component.
