How to Change the Oil and Reset the Service Light on a Dacia Lodgy

Changing the oil on a Dacia Lodgy 1.6 with a K7M engine requires 5W30 oil (specification A3/B4) and a Filtron 643/3 filter (available on eBay with code 178269557971 for £10.99 + £4.00 shipping). Warm the engine to 50-60°C. The filter is located under the dashboard, near the pedal. Use a socket wrench for filters to unscrew it. Replace the drain plug (square 8 mm) with a new one. Refill with 3.3 litres of oil. The filter should be tightened by hand (without a ratchet). Start the engine and check for any leaks. Check the level with the dipstick: it should be halfway between the marks. To reset the light, insert the key and turn it to position 1-2. Within 10 seconds, press the accelerator fully, hold it down, and press the brake three times. Release both. The light will turn off.
