Follow these steps to replace the diesel filter on a Dacia Duster 1.5 DCi: first, remove the front right wheel of the vehicle, then take off the wheel arch liner to access the fuel filter. Start by removing the metal protection, then disconnect the fuel hoses and the water sensor connector. Next, take the filter assembly to a workbench. You can find the new filter on various e-commerce platforms, for example on eBay for £33.03, including delivery. It is advisable to perform this work over a container, as some fuel will spill. Remove the 5 bolts on top of the cover and then the plunger at the bottom. Clean the filter housing thoroughly, remove and replace the O-ring on the top of the housing; insert the new filter and then refit with the 5 new bolts. Also replace the O-ring on the drain screw, then reassemble it in its base on the car, covering it with its protective cover. Refit the wheel arch liner and the wheel, and the job is complete.
