If the engine warning light comes on, it is crucial to check which faults have accumulated in the ECU, and this can only be done through the EOBD port and an OBD11 device, which can be easily found online for a few dozen pounds. On the Dokker, the EOBD socket is located on the left side of the steering wheel: pull out a small glove compartment, hold it in your hands, and pull it towards you. This will give you access to the fuse box in the cabin and the socket.
