How to Perform a Full Service on the Dacia Duster

In this video, you can see how to perform a full service on the Dacia Duster MK1; you will change the oil, oil filter, and air filter. From underneath, remove the protection cover to access the oil drain plug.

Remember to drain the oil into a suitable container, which you will then dispose of at an authorised centre. To remove the cover, there are ten bolts with a 10 mm head.

Next, locate the oil filter cartridge, and next to it, you will find the oil sump with the drain plug located on one side. While draining the oil, change the air filter from the bonnet.

Lift the two side tabs of the air box and pull out the entire filter. Clean the container thoroughly and replace the filter with a new one, then refit the air box. Now replace the oil filter, lubricating the seal with clean oil, remove the old one (you will need a container here as well), and fit the new one. Install a new plug and washer on the oil sump and close the cover.

Now it's time to refill the oil from the top: you will need 4.2 litres of synthetic oil SAE 10W40.
