Replacement of Ignition Coil for Third Cylinder

If the engine runs unevenly after starting and the engine warning light is illuminated, there is likely an ignition issue in one of the cylinders, meaning a spark plug is not firing, probably due to a malfunctioning ignition coil. Instead of guessing, start by checking the fault memory in the engine control unit: the fault indicates a misfire in the cylinder. Count the cylinders from the timing belt side, from left to right when facing the engine. At this point, you can either proceed directly with the coil replacement or check with a specific tool connected to the spark plug to monitor the supply voltage and ignition timing. After the inspection and repair, clear the fault memory using the diagnostic tool.
