How to replace the fuel pump in a Dodge Avenger.

In this video tutorial, we can see how it is possible to replace the fuel pump in a Dodge Avenger. To perform this type of work, it is necessary to have a fire extinguisher on hand and also to work in a well-ventilated area, as there is a risk of fire and it can be dangerous. Before disassembling any part of the fuel system, the system pressure must be released and the fuel filler cap must be removed. Remove the lower seat cushion, lift and remove the fuel pump module cover; disconnect the electrical connector. Start and run the engine until it stalls. Try to restart the engine to see if it turns on, try until it no longer turns on. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. Disconnect the negative battery cable and isolate the cable. Place a towel under the fuel line fitting, on top of the fuel pump module, then disconnect the fitting. Use a marker to place a mark on the position of the fuel pump module (locking ring) and the fuel tank before removal. Use compressed air to blow debris away from the fuel pump module. Remove the fuel pump module (locking ring) with a pair of pliers, gripping two notches and rotating counterclockwise. Remove the locking ring, place rags around the fuel pump opening, and lift the fuel pump module out of the tank. For further explanations, refer to the video tutorial.
