To reset the oil light on a 2012 Dodge Avenger, we need to press the accelerator pedal 10 times consecutively before turning on the ignition. Once the oil light turns off, turn off the ignition and then turn it back on. This operation is only valid after replacing the engine oil in the tank, otherwise you could damage the engine by continuing to use the used oil. If the light is not reset, it is possible to reset it using a scanner and OBD port.
