Replacement of the Gear Pump Motor

Model: Ferrari 360 MK 1 - Years 1999-2004

Open the bonnet and gently remove the protective cover on the right side of the engine. Locate the securing screws of the motor and, using a 10 mm ratchet spanner, remove only two, taking care not to drop them into the engine bay. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the four connection screws to the pump at the top of the engine. At this point, remove the last screws of the motor and take it out after disconnecting the electrical cable. Before removing it, note the position of the coupling with the pump to fit the new one in the same position. Using high-quality grey or black grease, lubricate the shaft of the new motor before installing the connecting pin with the pump. Position the coupling in the same position as the one removed to ensure it engages easily. Taking care not to lose the gasket, refit the motor by screwing in the screws at the top and subsequently those securing the motor itself. Reconnect the power connector and reposition the cover.
