To replace the brake pads on a Fiat 500, safely lift the vehicle using a jack and then secure it with axle stands for stability. Next, remove the wheel to access the braking system.

Locate the brake caliper and unscrew the mounting bolts to lift it off the disc, taking care not to damage the brake fluid line. Once the caliper is free, carefully remove the old pads.

Before inserting the new pads, push the caliper piston back to create space and ensure that the new pads are correctly positioned in their slots. Refit the caliper, screw the mounting bolts back in, and repeat the process for the other wheels if necessary.

Once the operation is complete on all pads, reattach the wheels and lower the vehicle. Finally, press the brake pedal several times to restore pressure in the system and ensure everything is functioning correctly before driving.
