To change the front brake pads on a Fiat 500, start by lifting the front of the car with a jack and ensure it is well supported by axle stands for safety during the operation. Once the wheel is removed, you will have access to the brake caliper.

Unscrew the bolts securing the caliper and carefully move it to avoid damaging the brake line. The pads are located inside the caliper, and with a bit of pressure, you can easily remove them.

Before inserting the new pads, use an appropriate tool to push back the caliper piston, ensuring there is enough space for the new pads. Insert the new pads into the caliper housing and refit the caliper onto the disc, securing it with the previously removed bolts.

After completing the installation, securely reattach the wheel. Once the vehicle is lowered, press the brake pedal several times to ensure the pads fit correctly.
