Replace the Battery in the Key for the 500X

How to change the battery in the remote key of a Fiat 500X. Take your remote and press the release button of the metal key. Once the metal key is out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (in the space between the two covers). Pry until the two covers separate, then, using a small screwdriver, remove the worn battery, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on your remote by pressing on the key case until you hear it click into place, joining the two covers. Check the proper functioning of the remote by pressing the buttons.
