Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
Model: Fiat Punto
188, MK 2
- Years 1999-2011
It is recommended to perform this operation with a cold engine to avoid burns.
Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift or, if using a jack, ensure the vehicle is secured on two axle stands. Open the front bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Open the oil filler cap and remove the dipstick to facilitate the draining process. Place a suitable container (approximately 5 litres) under the oil sump and remove the plug with a 10mm hex key to allow the oil to drain. In the meantime, unscrew the oil filter cartridge using a strap wrench: place a container under the filter to catch the oil. Then, apply the new filter after coating the gasket with oil to improve adhesion; tighten the filter by hand. Once the oil has drained, refit the plug and tighten it properly. Lower the vehicle from the axle stands and top up the engine oil with the specified SAE grade and quantities indicated in the owner's manual.

How to Remove the Brake Disc on Mitsubishi Pajero
How to remove the brake disc along with the brake pads on a Mitsubishi Pajero? First, lift the vehicle on a column lift to a suitable height for working. Next, remove the wheel (using a telescopic spanner or air drill) with the respective bolts. Undo the locking bolt of the brake caliper, and remove it from the caliper support. Remove the caliper support from the wheel hub using a socket spanner. Once the brake disc is free, undo the screws with a fixed spanner and detach the disc from the wheel hub. Disconnect the various wiring and brake fluid pipes from the wheel assembly. Replace them with new parts (always use original and compliant parts). Prepare to install the new disc along with the respective pads, brake caliper, caliper support, etc. by ScegliAuto More videos
