Replacing the Gear Knob with an Aftermarket Model

Model: Fiat 500 312 - Years 2007-2024

The first step is to remove the gear knob cap by levering it with a medium-sized flat screwdriver in the groove located in the centre of the knob and then remove the securing pin to slide it off.
Using the flat screwdriver, detach the leather gaiter along the edges of the chrome trim and pull it off.
Transfer the plastic ring with the securing clips from the old gaiter to the new one, ensuring the clips pass through the designated holes.
Next, fit the new gaiter onto the gear lever, securing it with a Velcro strap and ensuring the clips engage; tie the gaiter at the top and insert the cable inside the gaiter.
Finally, fit the new gear knob and secure it by tightening the bolt with the supplied key.
