In order to repair the operation of the panoramic roof mechanism of the Fiat 500, you will need to keep the instrument panel and the engine off: while these are off, you will need to insert the ignition key back into the ignition switch and turn it to only turn on the instrument panel.

Once the instrument panel is turned on, you can press the roof control button simultaneously for about fifteen seconds: at this point, you can release the button to see that the roof has closed and everything is working correctly.

The instrument panel can now be turned off.
