Unfortunately, it's a common problem, especially with cars produced from 2007 onwards, that the Fiat 500 experiences issues where the instrument panel suddenly stops working, displays abnormal warnings, or starts flashing. The most common issue concerns the Body Computer (BSI); sometimes the problem can be resolved by disconnecting the battery for about fifteen minutes. Other times, the issues may stem from communication problems between the control units, causing the instrument panel not to receive data and shut down. In some cases, it could simply be a blown fuse; some models have resolved the issue with a software update, especially when the panel starts flashing.
