How to change the windshield wipers on the Fiat 500

To replace the front windshield wipers on the Fiat 500, work with the car off and on a flat surface. Before starting, gently lift the wiper arm away from the windshield and protect the glass with a cloth: if the arm slips from your hand, it can hit the windshield and damage it. With the arm raised, locate the attachment point of the wiper on the arm (hook attachment). Unlock the wiper by acting on the tab/lock near the attachment and slide the wiper until it is released from the hook, always keeping the arm controlled. At this point, take the new wiper and insert it into the hook following the same direction, pushing until the attachment is complete and stable. Check by gently pulling that the wiper does not come off and that it is properly aligned. Carefully lay the arm back on the windshield and repeat the procedure for the other side. Once the replacement is complete, test the wipers with a wet windshield or with the washer fluid, so you can check that the wiper operates without skipping and without unclean areas. If you notice noises or streaking, double-check the attachment and ensure that the size of the wipers is correct for your Fiat 500.
