The vehicle in the video, a 2008 camper based on a Ducato 2.8 JTD with 120HP, exhibited a lack of power, limited maximum speed, poor acceleration response, black smoke at low revs, and high fuel consumption. Various components were examined: the turbo wastegate was found to be stuck, but it was not the only issue. The turbo pressure was too low even with the wastegate functioning; the catalytic converter was clean; the LDA valve (whose job is to enrich the mixture based on turbo pressure) was completely blocked by rust, causing the black smoke and failing to enrich the mixture when needed. The injection pump was overhauled, along with the unblocking of the LDA valve and the wastegate valve.
