First, separate the two pieces of the old cover using a small screwdriver, then remove the metal ring of the key through the new lower cover and slide the metal loop before securing everything. Align and press the top part until you hear all the clips snap into place. This is just a cosmetic enhancement; there is no improvement in functionality, obviously.
