How to Connect Your Smartphone to the Uconnect Radio in Fiat 500X

Model: Fiat 500 500 X - Years 2014-2022

To connect your smartphone to the radio in the 500X, first ensure that the engine is off; otherwise, for safety reasons, this operation cannot be performed. Now turn on the radio and then activate the Bluetooth on your smartphone. Once done, press the "Phone" button on the radio to access the menu, then press the "settings" button on the radio's display touch screen. Among the various settings, press "add new device" then go to the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone and set the connection to "Uconnect". Now ensure that the PIN displayed on the radio matches the one that appears on your smartphone and confirm on both the radio and the smartphone. After confirming, the Uconnect system will ask for further confirmation, and once given, the phone will be connected. It will then ask if you want to set the phone as default and if you wish to download the phonebook to the radio; these last two options are subjective and can be chosen based on how you use your smartphone in the car.
