To change the engine oil and filter on a Fiat Panda, it is advisable to allow the engine to reach its normal operating temperature, then switch it off and safely lift the vehicle. After unscrewing the oil filler cap, place a container under the sump and remove the drain plug to allow the complete drainage of the used lubricant. Once the drainage is finished, replace the oil filter, applying a light coat of new oil to the seal of the replacement before installation. Then refit the drain plug, preferably with a new seal, and fill the engine with the oil grade and quantity specified by the manufacturer. Finally, start the engine for a few moments, check for leaks, and verify the oil level, topping up if necessary to the correct value.
