Replacing the Diesel Filter on a Fiat Tipo (2015) 1.6 MJT

Replacing the diesel filter on a Fiat Tipo 1.6 MJT is a DIY maintenance task that can be easily performed. You will need a new filter and a 20 Torx key (a magnetic tip is recommended to prevent screws from falling into the engine bay during removal). Once the bonnet is open, the filter is located just below the windscreen on the passenger side. First, release the hose clamps, then remove the clips from the supply and return lines by pressing them sideways. Disconnect the connector located directly above the filter and unscrew the screws securing the filter cover flange. Remove the old filter and replace it with the new one, ensuring the alignment of the plastic nozzle on top of the filter fits into the designated hole on the flange. Reassemble everything, and before starting the engine, turn on the ignition and wait for the filter housing to fill correctly.
