Cabin Fan Repair on Fiat Cars

Model: Fiat Ducato X290 - Years 2014-2026

On the Fiat Ducato and, more generally, on other Fiat cars, the resistor is located under the dashboard on the passenger side, as shown in the video. Using a 5 mm spanner, unscrew the only screw on your left, which holds the resistor in place. Then press on the two side tabs and pull down to extract the connector. With a piece of fine sandpaper, gently sand and clean the resistor contacts. Do this patiently and slowly to ensure they are thoroughly clean. Spray contact cleaner and reassemble it. If the resistor still does not work, it means it is burnt out and needs to be replaced.
