The parking sensors on a Fiat Panda are designed to detect the presence of objects such as walls or similar obstacles and alert the driver, who may not be able to see or judge the distance from inside the cabin. The sensors are located around the outer perimeter of the front and rear bumpers; after detecting obstacles, this signal is transmitted to the control unit, and once it has fully understood the size and distance of the obstacle, it converts this signal into an audible warning via a specific sounder located inside the cabin, allowing the driver to correct the trajectory and brake when necessary.
