Replacing the Gear Lever on a Fiat Panda

In this case, we have illustrated with a Fiat Panda, but replacing the gear lever is a similar procedure on almost all cars and is quite simple. The top part of the knob comes off easily by pulling it. Also, remove any spring and other plastic parts present (the Panda knob has both a spring and another internal plastic part). For the gaiter, the process is the same: just pull it off with your fingers! Lift it off the gear lever. Fit the new gaiter onto the old knob and slot everything back into place, ensuring the plastic clips align with their respective slots.
