How to Remove the Airbag from a Fiat 500

Model: Fiat 500 312 - Years 2007-2021

Before you can begin, open the driver's side door of your Fiat 500. Start by unscrewing and removing the screws that secure the lower cover of the steering column, then remove the cover itself. Next, unscrew and remove the rear screws that secure the airbag to the steering wheel. This will free the airbag itself. At this point, extract the airbag from the steering wheel, then disconnect the electrical connector. Once the connector is disconnected, you can remove the airbag, and the disassembly will be complete.
