How to Change the Fuel Cap Lock on a Fiat?

When the locking mechanism of the fuel cap breaks and you can no longer lock it, follow these steps to change the lock cylinder: first, get a sharp object to release the internal part of the cap by lifting the tabs. Inside, you will find a small plastic gear. Next, remove the metal tab located behind the lock cylinder. Insert the key into the lock and pull firmly towards you. At this point, the lock cylinder will come out along with the key. Refit the lock onto the new cap with the key inserted.
