If you need to install a new glove box or replace a dashboard plastic, follow this guide. What we need are some thin plastic shims and a small spatula, or a blunt knife like in the video. By inserting the spatula between the silver part and the plastic we open a space where we are going to insert the shims and as we go upwards we continue to move the metal-colored piece and insert the shims. Once all the joints have clicked, pull the side panel towards us and remove it, repeat the same operation for the one on the other side and once removed we can access the compartment below and replace it with a larger one equipped with flap.

How do you open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5?

In order to open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5, you need to press the appropriate button inside the passenger compartment, which is located in the rear part of the glove box on the driver's door.
