How to change the gearbox oil of a 1.9 MULTIJET JTD engine (Fiat Scudo)

The engine we are going to operate on is a 1.9 JTD MULTIJET and is mounted on various models - both Fiat and Alfa Romeo - of both cars and commercial vehicles. You need 2 liters of gear oil, a suitable basin and a 10 mm Allen key. We must work from underneath the car, with the car cold and in a perfectly horizontal position (not on a slope). We easily identify the gearbox oil pan, which has a bolt on the side that closes the so-called "drain screw" from which the used oil can be drained. When no more oil drips from the car, we put away the pan - the used oil must be disposed of at an authorized center - and close the gearbox oil pan with its bolt. We open the hood of the engine, and identify where to find the gear oil cap, which is a little lower than the hood, on the right front of the engine. It is a black, protruding cap which incorporates a level measuring stick inside. We remove the cap and with an extension funnel - but it is necessary that the part that enters the tank mouth is smaller than the mouth itself, to avoid liquid leaks - pour the necessary two liters of oil into the gearbox tank, pouring slowly . By reinserting the cap with the measuring stick, we check that the level is just below the MAX mark. We close the cap. The work is done.
