Model: Fiat Punto MK 2, 188 - Years 1999-2011
Part: Coolant temperature sensor
Operation: Replace the external temperature sensor on Fiat Punto.

In this video tutorial you will see how it is possible to replace the external temperature sensor on a Fiat Punto, when it detects the temperature poorly and therefore does not give you an adequate reading. A tip you can buy the piece on Amazon to save money, in fact it costs about Euro 15.00. First, once you have bought the external temperature sensor, you have to lift the front hood of the car where the engine is, then you have to make room for it then you have to unscrew the screws that hold the air filter box in place, then unhook also the spring below and remove the Box. Then you have to remove the coil assembly. Then remove the coolant from the car being careful when you detach the fluid tube as you could splash with the liquid. At this point, remove the plug and unscrew the two screws located behind it. Clean the place where the temperature sensor will be placed with a cloth. Put the gasket on the sensor with some black paste to be safe. Screw the sensor and then proceed to reassemble all the pieces by proceeding backwards. Once all the pieces have been assembled, carry out a test to check if the temperature remains stable and therefore if the work has been carried out well.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
