Fiat 500 - Video tutorial
Model: Fiat 500
- Years 2007-2021 Remove the plastic cup from the wheel disc and loosen the four bolts. Position the jack correctly and raise the car. Now you can completely unscrew the 4 bolts and remove the wheel. Using a 13 "socket wrench, unscrew and remove the two pins located inside the brake caliper. At this point, open the caliper and move the side with the piston so that it does not bother you while working. Paying attention to their positioning , extract the old pads with relative metal retainers and compare them with your new spare parts so that they are compatible. Then place the new clips in their seat and the new pads ensuring their stability. At this point, using a classic parrot pliers , push the hydraulic piston back into its seat, taking care not to damage the oil seal (if it is too dirty, clean everything with brake cleaner spray). the 2 13 "bolts. In the case of pads with sensor, the procedure is always the same, just disconnect and then reconnect the relative connector, paying attention to its positioning. Refit the wheel, lightly tighten the bolts and get the car off the jack. Now you can definitively tighten the bolts and reassemble the plastic cup. Important! Before setting off, try the car perhaps with light movements and light braking so that everything settles down.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
