Instructions for Fitting Cylinder Head Bolt Kit

Before applying the new bolts, check the thread pitch with a thread gauge, select the corresponding tap, and re-tap the threaded holes, taking care not to let any chip debris fall into the cylinders. Then apply the new cylinder head gasket, the cylinder head, and the new bolts, to which sealing paste should be applied under the bolt head and on the thread shaft; the bolts should first be tightened with a properly calibrated torque wrench following a cross pattern, and then completed with a torque spanner: this is a very important sequence.
