What Could Be the Reasons Why the Start & Stop of the 500L Doesn't Work

There are many reasons why the start and stop feature does not activate on the 500L, which can be divided into two types: with warning light on and without warning light. Without the warning light: extreme outside temperature, either hot or cold; driving without the seatbelt fastened; a door or the boot is open; the air conditioning is on and needs to reach a certain temperature; a steep incline; using the parking assist. The warning light comes on if the battery is not sufficiently charged to activate the start & stop. This system requires at least 70% battery charge. If the battery is below this threshold, not only will the S&S not activate, but the warning light will illuminate. Additionally, if there is a fault with the engine, the S&S will not activate either, and the warning light will illuminate.
