How to Replace the ECU on a Fiat Punto 188

To replace the engine management ECU on a Fiat Punto, open the bonnet to access the engine bay: here you will need to disconnect the battery and remove the air filter housing. Underneath, you will have access to the ECU, which must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the connectors attached to it and loosening the securing bolts. Once the old ECU has been removed, insert the new one, securing and connecting it. After installation, refit the air filter.
