How to repair the wiper mechanism on the Fiat Qubo

To remove the wipers from the Fiat Qubo, you need to take off the covers that hide the bolt securing the wiper, then remove the three bolts at the base of the grille and take that off as well. Once the grille is removed, you will see that the arms controlling the wiper have become disconnected. The problem is that there is no original replacement part. Fiat requires the entire assembly to be replaced.
