If the yellow engine warning light illuminates on the dashboard and the water temperature gauge drops to zero, the issue may be with the thermostat or the temperature sensor. To clear this warning, it is necessary to replace the thermostat and, for safety, also the temperature sensor.

To access the thermostat, you need to remove the engine cover and the air filter; the temperature sensor and thermostat are located on the right side of the engine, and after removing the coil pack, you can access them for removal. To free the thermostat, you will need to remove the hose clamp from the water duct.

How to Activate the Disabled TRC on the Toyota Yaris?

As the video clearly shows, disabling or activating the traction control (TRC or ESP) on the Toyota Yaris is very simple. By default, the traction system activates every time the vehicle is started. To disable it, simply press the button depicting a skidding car located in the centre of the vehicle where the controls are, such as the hazard lights and the radio, but near the handbrake. Once disabled, the TRC off light will illuminate on the dashboard. To reactivate it, just press the same button again.
