The engine air filter container (air box) is located right above the engine: to be able to replace it, simply unscrew the front fixing screws of the filter container cover, extract the old filter, remove any residual dirt present in the filter box and apply the new one, taking care to ensure that the edges of the gasket adhere perfectly; reposition the cap and tighten the relative fixing screws. When replacing the filter, you could also opt for a sports type which, in addition to improving performance, only needs cleaning and not to be replaced.

Let's see in this guide the main steps to be able to change the transmission oil of the second series Fiat Ducato, with 2.8 JTD engine. First of all we lift the car and go to locate the gear oil vent bolt, which we find near the transmission; we use a hex wrench to unscrew it, letting it drain the old oil in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we open the bonnet and remove the air intake sleeve, so as to be able to access the gearbox oil filling hole; then we fill up to the maximum level!
