How to Replace the Third Brake Light Bulb with a LED

On some cars, the third brake light consists of a series of incandescent bulbs, which should be replaced with modern LED lights when they burn out. Before starting this operation, first check the type of bulb that was installed, so you can purchase the corresponding LED. Also, make sure to get red LEDs and pay attention to ensure the electrical contacts are of the same type; if not, make the necessary modifications. Open the tailgate and remove the cover above the rear window, disconnect the electrical connection, and release the lamp holder. Replace them with the LEDs, and reconnect them for a test: if a bulb does not light up, remove it and rotate it 90 degrees to change polarity. Once confirmed that everything is working correctly, reassemble everything in reverse order.
