How to Replace the Key Shell of the Fiat Grande Punto

To replace the key shell of the Fiat Grande Punto, start by prying off the outer shell with a small flathead screwdriver, removing the section with the buttons. Then, remove the second shell by passing it through the keyring. Once both shells are off, unscrew the side screws to take out the battery compartment and the rear screw of the shell to remove the other part of the shell. Now, carefully remove the key from the old shell. To extract the chip from the old shell, use a small flathead screwdriver to pry it out and place it in the new shell. Reinsert the key spring into its slot, attach it to the shell, press down the pin next to it to rotate the key clockwise, and when the key is in the 'closed' position, it will lock. Reinsert the final spring and close the shell. Now, close the two shells, screw the shell screw back in, reinsert the battery holder ensuring the tab fits, and screw its screw back in. Finally, test the correct operation of the new key.
